Poinsettia & Pine Mini Kit + Seasonal Borders: Winter + Penned Elegance: Christmas

Hello all and welcome to the final day of Papertrey Ink’s September countdown! How are you wishlists looking so far?! πŸ˜‰

We have a MINI kit for you from Betsy Veldman to share today as well as a beautiful Christmas edition of Jennifer Campbell’s Penned Elegance. And last but definitely not least is the Winter edition of Betsy’s Seasonal Borders series. You ready?!

I’m starting off with the clean and simple Christmas card I made using one of my favorite holiday sentiments (and songs), “O Holy Night” from the Penned Elegance set.

I didn’t create the entire border on my card but simply used the accent pieces and stamps to make a beautiful pop of color with subtle background snowflakes for the perfect understated card.

As for the Poinsettia and Pine kit, I wanted to show a beautiful more masculine way to create a gift so I kept my color choices to blues and greens with a hint of Honey Nut. πŸ™‚ The Honey Nut accent is actually a die from Lizzie’s Ornament Stitching set releasing tomorrow!

Simple and layered, this package looks classy and festive, and still took very little time to put together. I hope all of you really enjoy working with it because it makes creating gift packages during a very busy season, that much more stress free.

Well, that’s it for this release! I can not WAIT to see all the beautiful projects you create with this month’s goodies!!! And of course, don’t forget that Betsy’s annual Christmas kit is coming soon! Until next time. Much love friends.

Xo, Stephanie

Starting off with Beautiful Berries… I stamped the two smaller bunches in Ripe Avocado and Pure Poppy. I also used the thick side of the Big Bitty: Simply Chartreuse stripes to make the gift card cozy.

This pattern paper was especially fun when you open it up and see the small stripes!

My second card mixes a bit of modern with a whole lot of tradition. In keeping with the good ole fashioned Christmas greens and reds, I stamped the flowers and leaves in Pure Poppy and Simply Chartreuse. I made the base from Kraft cardstock that I ran through with the Woodgrain Metal Stencil, and finished the card off with a bit of twine. The special twist on this card is the fact that it’s sliced on two sides creating perfect seamless edges.

For my second project I created a background with green and red stamped coffee mugs. It’s super hard to see the milk design in these pics so here is a terrible photo close up but one you can actually see the designs in. πŸ™‚
