Hey friends! Welcome to one of the new weekly features with Papertrey Ink: Throwback Thursdays! Today, Melissa, Keeway and I are revisiting the Doodlie-do stamp and die set and showing you new, fresh ideas on how to use it. I hope you find some inspiration along the way!
I started out by stamping the 5 petalled flower onto watercolor paper in 5 different ink colors. Then I used a wet paintbrush and a bit of additional ink to color in the entire flower. Once they were dry I stamped on top of them with black ink and die cut them with the coordinating dies.
I die cut the leaves from vellum and adhered all the flowers and vellum along the bottom and right edges. I finished the card off with a little bit of black paint splatter! I loved how vibrant the colors turned out against the white and black. This was such a fun stamp set to use… it really made me feel like summer is coming!! Now for some warm weather… 😉
Hey everyone!!! Are you ready for a TON of new Unity releases and a TON of sales for Brown Thursday?!!!! There are videos, tutorials, and more so be sure to check out everyone’s blogs!
First I want to show you a new Angie Girl that I love because I totally vibe with her outfit… distressed jeans, big tee, and a hat… I basically wear this every day (minus the heels 😉 ) check her out:
Isn’t she just adorable?! I am also using some images and sentiments from the November sentiment kit:
Eeek I just love that birdy. 🙂 Here are my cards:
I also put together a little Traveler’s Notebook layout using ANOTHER new Angie Girl, Wakely:
And I put together a short/mini process video on how to make this layout:

I used the Creative Retreat May Embellishment Kit to make this layout… Check it out here! Thanks for watching! Much love!
So apparently I gravitate towards the word “hello.” Haha. I have been patiently waiting for the gorgeous Free Spirit Collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio to arrive at my doorstep all the way from Australia and it’s FINALLY HERE!!! I haven’t stopped staring… playing… dreaming… creating… with it since it got here and let me tell you: It’s just as incredible as you would think it would be! I am in love. 🙂 I have 3 “hello” cards for you today and many more to come!! The first is above, “hello you make me smile” using a cutout from one of the pattern papers. This floral paper in the background is my favorite I think. I wish I could wallpaper my whole house with this print (although hubby probably wouldn’t be down for that). 😉
The next card is using the striped frame & floral cutout from the ephemera pack. Aren’t these colors just dreamy?
The last card is accenting another of my favorite papers from this collections and I die cut it with a die from Papertrey Ink. All of the flowers in the background of the photos are also part of the collection!! Do yourself a favor and check out this collection here.
Thanks for stopping by friends & have an incredible NEW YEAR!! Whoop whoop 2016!!!
Hey guys! My kids and I were watercolor painting the other day and I decided to make a couple backgrounds for cards too! It was so much fun doing this along side of my little ones. I made a few different designs, but today’s card uses a simple yellow watercolor base. It’s hard to see the different depths of color in the photos but there are apparent “swoosh” marks when you see it in person… that wasn’t too vague was it?! Haha. I used Papertrey Ink’s love die on top and stamped some PTI Rosie Posie flowers for the bottom right. I finished off the card with a seam binding bow and a little scrap pievce of pink cardstock underneath. I attached it to a kraft cardstock card base. And there you have it! A watercolor love card. 🙂
Hoping you all have a wonderful week!! Happy creating! 🙂
