Oh my goodness all. I am THRILLED to be able to participate in this incredible blog hop. My Sweet Petunia was exceptionally generous with us Unity ladies and we hope we can show off the MISTI and Unity products to their best abilities!!

Also, don’t forget to leave a comment on all the blogs in the hop!! This will enter you into a drawing for 3 prize packs from Unity and winner’s choice of an Original or Mini MISTI. More details below. Let’s get to my project!

by Stephanie Gold for Unity Stamp Company & MISTI

I created this card using the 2 step flower stamp from Unity called You Are This. I adore the sentiment in this kit as well but I went with a sympathy sentiment from another kit for this particular card.

To create the flower I began by using my Mini MISTI and stamping the 2 step flower petals and leaves. I chose different inks for each stamp (for a total of 4 inks) to really accentuate the extra details.

The added detail in the 2nd step of the flower is so beautiful and distressed that it gives the perfect amount of imperfection for your design. Angie Blom did an incredible job designing this image.

The leaves around my flower are from the Peace, Courage & Memories kit which is also where I got my sentiment “with sympathy.”

releaseweek-01

Ok… How are you all loving this release?? Is Neat & Tangled release week not the best?! Now today I have two projects for you showing off the Scalloped Cover Plate & the Scalloped Stencil!!! I’ve been dying to show you these. ๐Ÿ™‚

by Stephanie Gold for Neat and Tangled Scalloped Cover Plate

Starting with the Scalloped Cover Plate… I actually cut off the bottom portion of it to create a cascading effect, but this die is so dang gorgeous you could use it in a ton of ways and it would look beautiful. I REALLY wanted to let the card be all about the cover plate so I left the inside super simple and just added a little sentiment and a flower from a previously released stamp set.

Ok so this is the project I sneaked on Instagram a little bit ago if you follow my account. ๐Ÿ™‚ Doesn’t that texture paste just look like delicious frosting?!!! And then I just HAD to add that sweet little bunny and then the sentiment… you are my cottontail cutie… I just can’t. <3 <3 <3

by Stephanie Gold for Unity Stamp Co Company Design Team - Steps of Courage - Sympathy Tag Set - Golden Simplicity

I put together a muted tag set using the Steps of Courage stamps from the new release. Whenever I make something related to sympathy, I always end up using black and white imagery or soft muted colors. Not sure why, maybe it comforts me on some level so I assume it will for others as well. I use sympathy tags to attach to flowers or meals, etc when I need them. Here’s a closer look at each tag:
