Hello all! Welcome to the very first Papertrey Ink release of 2019! We have some truly adorable products to share with you this week and I can’t wait to show you all the projects! So without further ado…
Lizzie Jones is back with her January Corner Adorner alongside Betsy Veldman’s latest in the Shape Shifter series. Today I’ve layered 5 separate Shape Shifter die cuts in multiple colors and accented the corners with the dots from Lizzie’s set.
The Corner Adorner has a multistep dot stamp that overlay each other so you can have a beautiful multicolored confetti-like effect, or simply use the stamps on their own like I did here.
My second project is showcasing Betsy Veldman’s Let’s Fiesta stamp and die set and man is this set ever cute!! Betsy added so many fun elements to this set and it’s packed!! This is a double stamp set (2, 4×6 sheets) and provides plenty of images as well as sentiments.
I decided to keep things simple for today’s card and accent one of my favorite images from this set… that rug!!! I fell in love with that cutie the second I saw it and couldn’t wait to use it as the focal point on a card. The giant sentiment is the perfect compliment for the rug and the subtle impression of Lizzie Jones’ new Pierced Ovals underneath gives a bit of added texture.
That’s all for me today! I will see you back here every day this week for more release fun and projects! Happy Thursday all!
It’s day 3 of Papertrey Ink’s August release and today we have some lovely Autumn themed products for you. 🙂
Starting off I have a card featuring predominantly fall themed products, but I wanted to show you a way to use them a little bit different so you don’t feel like you only can use them one season per year!
I went with a monochromatic color scheme using greys and blacks for my leaves on the card base. The shape shifters is so beautiful, but I wanted to show it off in a way that doesn’t create a focal point so I left it all white and accented my sentiment with a big pop of color. And of course… a little twine to finish it off… you know me. 😉
The next Text and Texture from Betsy Veldman is, Leaves! She did such a beautiful job designing a background stamp that almost creates a rubbing feel. I used a couple different greens on my background and kept the front of my card nice and simple.
Hey all! Do we have a treat for you today! Lizzie Jones has and ADORABLE new set called Kit N Caboodle and it. is. darling.
I created a purely clean and simple card for this set and I tried to make the kitty peeking out look just like mine. I have a kitten named Gypsy and she’s a torti so I mixed blacks, browns, and tans to create the color.
Here’s a picture of my kitty for you guys. 🙂 I made a scrapbook page about her a while ago haha. I love her.
We also have a new Sentiment Staples and a new Shape Shifters for you today!
I used the Shape Shifters square die to cut 4 times right next to each other and then turned it on it’s side to make a diamond. I layered it over top of some of the new Bitty Big Berry Sorbet and used some black paint splatters to compliment the sentiment.
***I wanted to thank you all for your patience today… it seems our internet is going bonkers and it’s been a challenge to get this post working! Hoping you are all having a beautiful Friday!***
What genius idea… am I right?! Lizzie is at it again with her brilliant gift card dies and today’s has taken the cake!
This quite clever set of dies gives you so many options to put together a gorgeous suit for the man in your life and you can even slip a gift card inside! I chose to put this outfit on the front of a card for my project today but I am a little obsessed with this set.
Don’t be scared off if it looks complicated!! Lizzie put together a wonderful video that you can use to follow along when you put this guy together for the first time (because it’s honestly simpler than it looks and you probably won’t need to watch the video more than once). And of course the Dapper Chap stamp and die set coordinate perfectly. I’m loving the “nicely done, sir” sentiment. 🙂
For the latest Corner Adorner set we have a more artsy design for you this month. Create artisticly impressive card designs in a snap! I chose to go with a super watercolor and carefree feel with mine and used the negatives from the Shape Shifters Square die to add just a bit of unexpected fun to the bottom.
This card design will undoubtedly not be everyone’s cup of tea but it may be one of my favorites from this release haha. (Check out artist Lourdes Sanchez if you’re a fan of abstract watercolor art)
Tomorrow is the last release countdown day and you WON’T want to miss it! (New grey color name announcement… hint hint…)
Welcome to this weeks Throwback Thursday with Papertrey Ink! Today, Lizzie, Melissa P and I are here to show you some fun new takes on the previously released set, Fresh Floral Wrap Ups.
I combined this “old” set with one of the new die sets that just released this March, Shape Shifters: Oval 1. Using the sentiments in the stamp set I repeatedly stamped all over my die cut.
The floral is the focal point and I accented it by placing a small True Black oval directly behind it, as well as using bright colors on my floral wrap. The card is finished off with some black and white twine. 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please see the supply list below for any questions on products used. 🙂 Much love all.
