Hey everyone! I am entering a card for CASology Challenge for Week 180 and the cue word this week is OPEN. Here is my card:
My interpretation of this word was to keep the sentiment completely open and without layers. I wanted the entire card to also have an open feel which is why I went with muted Soft Stone and Sweet Blush flower colors. The result is a very light, airy vibe. Hoping you are having a wonderful Friday! 🙂
Hey there! Today’s card is using a fun technique of masking a circle and stamping around it to create a wreath. Check it out:
I used the Papertrey Ink Rosie Posie stamp set and a few different ink colors to stamp the flowers and leaves around the circle mask making sure to overlap a little to create a very distinct line. Once the circle is removed I added the sentiment on top (Wet Paint die from PTI that I layered multiple times to create a chipboard effect).
I entered this card into the FUSION Card Challenge using both the sketch and the photo as inspiration.
Be sure to check out the other entries as well as the design team’s take on the challenge! Happy crafting 🙂
Hey friends! I have two matching simple birthday wishes cards for you today. I did a kraft version & a white version and tried to keep them pretty simple. The flower die cut is made with the Papertrey Ink Rosie Posie stamps & dies (as well as the step 2) and the sentiment is from Papertrey’s Phrase Play #6 stamp set. It may be a little difficult to see on the kraft card but I also stamped a subtle background to add a little more interest, using Hero Arts newspaper print background stamp.
You can see the background stamp a little better on this version. 🙂
Simple, but sweet, don’t you think?? 🙂 Have a great weekend folks!
Hey guys! My kids and I were watercolor painting the other day and I decided to make a couple backgrounds for cards too! It was so much fun doing this along side of my little ones. I made a few different designs, but today’s card uses a simple yellow watercolor base. It’s hard to see the different depths of color in the photos but there are apparent “swoosh” marks when you see it in person… that wasn’t too vague was it?! Haha. I used Papertrey Ink’s love die on top and stamped some PTI Rosie Posie flowers for the bottom right. I finished off the card with a seam binding bow and a little scrap pievce of pink cardstock underneath. I attached it to a kraft cardstock card base. And there you have it! A watercolor love card. 🙂
Hoping you all have a wonderful week!! Happy creating! 🙂
