Back to School

It’s that time of year again! My little Abbey is heading back to school, but this year she is officially a Kindergartener. (Eeeeek!) Her Kindergarten is part of the same Montessori school where she went to preschool so we know the teachers and assistants pretty well which is fun. I decided to make a few of them little welcome back cards to hopefully brighten their days as they start this new year.

I made them all pretty similar and just switched a detail a bit here and there. The pattern papers are from Echo Park Paper Co. and the stamps are from Papertrey Ink. I also used one of my favorite new tools, the Tiny Attacher. (LOVE that stapler.)

Hoping your back to school processes are going smoothly! Have a great week!

Hello Friend

goldensimplicity.com

Hello friends… πŸ˜‰ I am just coming back from an amazing vacation back to nature and away from technology (well needed) and feeling refreshed! I already miss the trees and creeks but it’s always a good time to get back into the craft room. πŸ™‚

I have a card for you today that I am slightly obsessed with. I finally caved and bought some of the Wet Paint sets from Papertrey Ink and they did NOT disappoint. I combined them with more of Maggie Holmes Open Book collection for a fun and girly card accented with large florals and gold, glittery leaves. I am one to give away most of the cards I make but I may be holding on to this little one for a while… it just makes me happy! πŸ™‚

I hope you all have been enjoying your summers! I am looking forward to the school year starting in a week or so and hopefully having a little more time making cards. πŸ™‚ Happy creating!

Love You

goldensimplicity.com

Hey there! Continuing on with my love fest for Maggie Holmes Open Book collection πŸ˜‰ I have a little “love you” card today accenting this incredible flower which is from the Floral Ephemera package. I ADORE this yellow flower. I popped it up with dimensional adhesive to match the height to the chipboard sentiment. All of the papers and accents are from the Open Book collection and that sweet frame was die cut with the Gatsby Glamour dies from Papertrey Ink (love that die!).

Filled With Joy

Hi there! Happy Tuesday! Today’s card uses a floral piece of ephemera from the Maggie Holmes Open Book Collection and some sequins from a Studio Calico add on kit. The gray/white wash wood pattern paper in the background is from the SC add on kit as well. The stamps are from a limited edition freebie stamp set, Filled With Joy, from Papertrey Ink, and are stamped in Hero Arts black.

I’m such a girl and I love flowers so I adore this piece of ephemera. I had to make it a focal point and let it be! And of course… add gold accents. πŸ˜‰

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Sending Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone! Is the month of May as busy for everyone else as it is for our family? My goodness it’s been crazy around here lately! πŸ™‚ And my baby girl turned 5 last week which is equal parts wonderful and sad because she’s growing too fast!! πŸ˜‰ She is such a blessing.

Anyway! Today I have a card for you that is very CAS style. I have a kraft cardstock base with a simple cut white cardstock background on top. I die cut the frame from the Gatsby Glamour collection and made the ticket by stamping, cutting, and layering images from the Big Ticket Basics collection. The frame is adhered flat and the ticket it popped up with a little dimensional adhesive. I left this card pretty simple to appeal to a very clean and simple style.

Hoping everyone has a truly lovely week! Happy Monday and happy crafting!
