Hi there! It’s STILL Papertrey release time (I have such a great time with these extended release periods!!) and today I have THREE projects for you using Initial Sentiments: Birthday, Ways to Say: Birthday, and Kay’s Critters: Cuddly Cat.

For my first card I decided to attempt a fun cutout around the giant “HB” sentiment for a unique design. I lined the interior with Limeade Ice cardstock for a color pop and used the circular images to add to the sentiment.

My second card is one of my favorites from this release. I used the “birthday” die from the “happy birthday” die set to create a sentiment window but left it open to show the Hibiscus Burst cardstock show from underneath. The floral Gran’s Garden accents are the perfect focal point to counter the sentiment on top.

For Kay’s Critters dies I found myself increasingly obsessed with my kitty, Gypsy. So much so that I decided to create her a little toy to go along with the gift tag I made. Unfortunately the polka dots that are stamped on the tag in Soft Stone are too subtle for most of my images, but they add the perfect amount of faux texture to my simple kitty tag. I have quite a few friends who have kitties and I love buying them little treats and toys so I will definitely be making more of these. πŸ™‚

I made the toy so it separates from the tag easily and can be played with right away! πŸ™‚ I tested this one out with Gypsy and she’s a big fan. She also loves it when you dangle it from a stick hehe

Hi again friends! I have 2 cards for you today showcasing the new Lovely Lace Mini Kit by Betsy Veldman. πŸ™‚

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink Lovely Lace Mini Kit Betsy Veldman

To create this card I trimmed a strip of the pink pattern paper and adhered it to the top of my card base. I placed a strip of grey chevron washi on top and stamped my sentiment directly onto the paper and washi. I overlapped my die cut to create a nice big lacey focal point.

For my second card I used the light blue pattern paper and I die cut it with the new Mix & Mat: Scallops scalloped die.

Using my Tiny Attacher, I adhered two corner lace pieces to the top of my scalloped die cut and then stamped right in the center of my card. I finished it off with some natural twine.

Hey there friends! More Papertrey Ink inspiration for you today and I am working with the gorgeous Pen & Ink set today!

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink Pen & Ink

I started this card off with an Ocean Tides card base. Next I die cut a couple of the lace details dies from the Mix & Mat: Scallops set and cut them apart into separate pieces. I used my Tiny Attacher to regroup them all in a different formation directly onto my card base. The staples allow the pieces to lift up and create extra texture and dimension on my card.

For the sentiment I heat embossed it in white first, and then restamped it in a translucent white off set to create a bit of a shadow effect. To add a little shine, I adhered a few Rainstones to finish the card off.

Welcome to Day 3 of Papertrey Ink’s new release countdown! Today my featured post is showcasing the reallllly cool Circled Symbols Stamp Set. See Nichole’s Blog for all the details and specifics regarding this set which will be available for purchase on April 15th. πŸ™‚

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink Circled Symbols

For my first card I created a panel on the left generation stamping the “eat,” cake symbol, and heart arrow in multiple colors. I created a second panel by first stamping the outlined circles in the same colors, and then repeatedly stamping “and celebrate” in black over top. The limeade ice and raspberry fizz symbols were stamped onto white cardstock and then fussy cut out – SUCH an easy shape to scissor cut! πŸ™‚

For my second card I made a very clean and simple design. I overlap stamped 3 of the circled symbols (and LOVE the extra colors they created where the overlaps are!!) and then fussy cut it out. I dug out my Circle Scribbles dies and kept them white as well to keep my overall design very limited but with lots of texture. The sentiment is adhered in the center with extra dimensional adhesive to have it truly pop up off the card.

And for my third card I created a fun design by repeatedly overlap stamping only one of the symbols in multiple colors. I created a line in the center with the “forever & always” sentiment and popped the whole card front up off of the Vintage Jadeite card base using extra dimensional adhesive.
