Starting out with the pineapple!! I made this card using the new Mix & Mat: Postal dies as well and turned it into a bit of a vacation postcard feel. I tried to keep the colors fun and tropical.

I’ve been really into rainbows lately so I wanted to put together a little rainbow of citrus fruits for this card. After adhering portions of the fruits on the back side, I used staples to attach them to the card base so they have lots of movement.

For the cherries and the watermelon I wanted to show you a way you can use them to make place cards for fun summer parties. I combined the fruit with gingham pattern paper for an even more summery/picnic vibe.

Hey there summer lovers! I have a brand new album for you today and I am so excited to share it with you! I put together a 4 day weekend mini notebook, ready to go when I take my next trip. The only thing I need to add to it is my photos and any journaling I want to add.

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink Travelers Notebook Journal

The stamp sets I used in today’s album are all from the Moments Inked collection. Starting with the cover, I used 4 stamps originally made for a planner, put together and used as my title.

The top of the first page uses one of the arrow stamps from the Moments Inked set and the bottom uses one of the blocks from the Day by Day: Blocks stamp set as an accent stripe.

The pattern paper and stickers are from the Oasis Collection by Crate Paper.

The second page uses a few of the fun Day by Day stamps sorting out the different days of the 4 day vacation.

Hey everyone! Today is the second day of projects showcasing a collaborative kit from Papertrey Ink and Kimberly Crawford – Modern & Marbled.

This is the very first kit in the Sincerely Yours line and it’s available now!! Let’s get to my second project. (To see the first project, please click HERE.)

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink Kimberly Crawford Sincerely Yours Modern & Marbled Kit

For today’s project I really wanted to include the Color Basics Add-On Kit which includes the colors Sweet Blush, Soft Stone, and Smokey Grey. I also wanted to show a way that you can use the wax seal other than as.. well.. a wax seal. πŸ˜‰

I began by stamping the marble stamp in Soft Stone ink onto Soft Stone cardstock for a subtle background texture. Then I added a bit of a Mix & Mat: Herringbone die cut piece and started my layering.

By using my Nuvo Glue Pen as more of a drawing tool, I made lines on my hexagon and then filled them in with the Nuvo Gold Gilding Flakes. The thick font of the sentiment is perfectly balanced by a bit of twine wrapped on the left.

Hey everyone! There is a brand new set of kits being launched in the Papertrey Ink store called, Sincerely Yours and they are designed by the ever so talented, Kimberly Crawford!

The very first kit in the line is Modern & Marbled and it’s available now!! I have a project for you today showcasing this beauty and I will have one more for you tomorrow as well! πŸ˜‰

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink Kimberly Crawford Sincerely Yours Modern & Marbled Kit

For today’s project I went with bold colors to really accent the beautiful lines in the marble detailing. Modern designs typically have striking accents so the Raspberry Fizz paired with True Black was a perfect choice.

By off setting the sentiment die cuts I allowed for them to be read a bit easier against the busy background of the marble. The gold marble was created by drawing with my Nuvo Glue Pen in a matching marble pattern and then filling it in with the Nuvo Gold Gilding Flakes… both of which come in the main Modern & Marbled kit.

There are a few very subtle lines stamped behind the black hexagon using Soft Stone ink (more apparent in person than in photos) which coordinated with the stripes on the stamped envelope.

Be sure to check back here tomorrow for more inspiration using this fun new kit as well as the Color Basics Add On kit!!

Much love friends!

Stretch Your Stamps: Florals

Hey friends! Thank you so much for joining me today for another Design Team Tips with Papertrey Ink. Today I am focusing on how to get the most of your stamps and I will be specifically working with florals. I have a few techniques for you that I use time and again for unique looks on projects, in addition to simply getting more usage out of my favorite type of stamp… those gorgeous flower stamps. Let’s get started!

Embellish Your Envelopes

Stamping on your envelopes is SUCH an easy way to dress your cards up even more and impress the recipient. You can stamp in one corner, all over the entire thing, or even just on one side. Above you see two examples of envelopes that I stamped. These are purchased envelopes that I have on hand in a box so adding a little something extra to them was super easy. After stamping all over the pink envelope, I adhered a large die cut over top where I can add my address in. In the kraft envelope I only stamped a portion of it and then added a small address sticker.

Slice your die cuts

Another more unconventional way to use your floral stamps is to simply slice up them up when they are die cuts. Below you see The pink flowers have been stamped and die cut out, then cut in half and placed on my card. This gives a card a completely unique look. Also…

Stamp a pattern on top of them

Above you see that in addition to slicing my pink florals, I also stamped them with polka dots. You can use any pattern at all when doing this; stripes, chevron, squigly lines, etc. and it adds so much fun and whimsy to your card. To add even more fun to them…

Give them unique centers

…such as these staples! Many people already use items like gem stones, enamel dots, etc… but what if you used something completely different? How about using eyelets? Or even something that’s not even round like a star? Any of these will set your flowers apart from the typical ones you stamp.

Stamp a background

Create an entire piece of customized pattern paper using your floral stamps. This is one of my favorite things to do. You can use any size stamp you’d like; you can make them nice and spaced apart or grouped together; you can create little clusters or just stamp the whole thing.

In the above card I stamped many floral images and then layered a few die cut pieces over them. My sentiment is on a piece of vellum so the florals still poke through.
