Happy Monday!! Today I have a Maggie Holmes Bloom scrapbook layout for you. I took a tip from Ali Edwards the other day and decided to make a layout from a photo that was completely random… but it was begging me to do something with it! The photo is from my daughter’s 2nd birthday (which was a few years ago) and I have always loved the expression on her little face in this photo.
I whipped out some paints for the background and matched the colors with some of the colors in the Bloom collection as well as in the photo.
Trying to step out of my comfort zone with these and learn something new! Do you have any tips for new scrapbookers? I’d love to hear them!! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Color is the place where our brain and the universe meet. That’s why color appears so entirely dramatic, to true painters. Look at mont Sainte-Victoire there. How it soars, how imperiously it thirsts for the sun… …For a long time I was quite unable to paint Sainte-Victoire; I had no idea to go about it because, like others who just look at it, I imagined the shadow to be concave, whereas in fact it’s convex, it disperses outward from the center. Instead of accumulating, it evaporates, becomes fluid, bluish, participating in the movements of the surrounding air.
