Hey there friends! I put together a couple grateful cards to send out thanks for some awesome volunteers that I work with at our church. I wanted the cards to be very happy and colorful and fun, so I started with this floral background stamp. I used a few different colors and rock n’ rolled them together to create a blended look. I made a couple different versions of the same card.

I die cut some butterflies out of white cardstock and vellum with Papertrey Ink’s Life Is Beautiful die set and accented them with a few enamel dots.

The sentiment is stamped in black with Mama Elephant’s Many Thanks stamp set and is popped up with a bit of dimensional adhesive.

Why don’t we all give out a grateful card today? 🙂 Have a great week everyone!

Hey friends! You may have noticed a little update on the site. I’m going through a little virtual makeover and it’s almost complete – hope you like it!

Today I have a sympathy card for you. My sympathy cards are all typically pretty similar. I always try to keep them simple with less emphasis on the card as much as the recipient. Kraft cardstock seems to be a go-to of mine for sympathy cards as well… can’t really explain that one! Habit I suppose!

For this card I did a bit of ombre stamping with 3 different colors (2 different shades of green and a yellow) on a white cardstock rectangle. I stamped the sentiment in brown to match the border cardstock that I layered behind the stamped portion. After wrapping a few layers of string around the card base, I adhered the stamped rectangle on top with dimensional adhesive. Simple, right?

Hoping you guys have a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by!

Hi and welcome! I’m back from an extended family vacation in Maine and although I’m already missing that beautiful state, I’m happy to be back. 🙂

I have 3 cards for you today using July’s Valley High Card Kit from Studio Calico as well as some stamps from the INKED class kit. So let’s get started!

First up is a stamped thank you card using an ombre technique. >>

image

Other than stamps & ink, the only material I used on this card was one small piece of textured cardstock! So simple! The ombre stamping was a technique learned in the INKED class from Studio Calico and it has so many possibilities!! I’ll post more on this technique soon. Here is a close up >>

The next card I have for you is a Congratulations card for new parent’s-to-be! This one was very fun to put together. >>

I started by stamping the background with the flowers and then embellished them with a dot of Glossy Accents in the center of each. I embossed the little frame on white cardstock and stamped “The Adventure Begins” underneath. I finished it off with a diaper that I die cut with my Silhouette. I attached the cardstock to the stamped card base with 3D dots and I was done! >>

And finally my “love love love love… YOU” card. The ribbon we have been getting in our kits is wonderful!! I am in love with all the different colors and they make such pretty bows! >>

image

For this card, I started by stamping “YOU” where I wanted it and then I lightly stamped the word “love” over and over in a line and then again upside down. I tied my bow vertically and attached a piece of accent paper at the bottom of the card. I finished it off with a few gems. >>

Well that’s it for today! I’m glad to be back! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what Studio Calico has in store for the holidays!
