Hey all! Today is Throwback Thursday with Papertrey Ink and I am so excited to show you the project I made for today. 🙂
I created a card with coordinating gift box using mainly JUST the Phrase Play #9 stamp and die set. By running the die through multiple times in different colors, you create different colored snowflakes and sentiment strips with ease. I went with traditional Christmas colors but you could use any colors you’d like!!
By using the Bitty Big: Soft Stone in the large plaid, I added extra texture and interest in the gift box. And to keep things coordinated, I stamped on the card using the Soft Stone Ink as well.
I tried to make it easier to see in this picture but the “greetings” sentiment strip has a background stamped purely in Soft Stone “treats” to tie in the Soft Stone color. I also ran the card base through with the Woodgrain Metal Stencil for added texture on my card.
The “WINTER” sentiment is backed with vellum and popped up with multiple layers of foam tape. The vellum adds just enough fade so you can’t see the adhesive underneath (this helps so you don’t have to get super picky in adhesive placement). 🙂
That’s it for me today!! Do you like putting together coordinating cards and gift boxes?? I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. 🙂
