Grateful Card

Hey there friends! I put together a couple grateful cards to send out thanks for some awesome volunteers that I work with at our church. I wanted the cards to be very happy and colorful and fun, so I started with this floral background stamp. I used a few different colors and rock n’ rolled them together to create a blended look. I made a couple different versions of the same card.

I die cut some butterflies out of white cardstock and vellum with Papertrey Ink’s Life Is Beautiful die set and accented them with a few enamel dots.

The sentiment is stamped in black with Mama Elephant’s Many Thanks stamp set and is popped up with a bit of dimensional adhesive.

Why don’t we all give out a grateful card today? 🙂 Have a great week everyone!

Xo, Stephanie

More March Thank You’s!

Hi and welcome! 🙂 Continuing on with my March Thank You Month, I have a couple more thank you cards for you today! To see the other thank you cards from the month, you can check them out here.

Today’s first card utilizes a few items from the January Studio Calico kit, Copper Mountain, and the second utilizes some pattern papers from the Studio Calico February kit, Sugar Rush. These kits were a ton of fun to play with so I would definitely suggest checking them out. 🙂

For this card I used a yellow cardstock base and adhered a piece of pattern paper with rounded edges on top. I attached two die cut hearts and lifted the edges, and popped up the two birds towards the bottom. I made the heart by stamping a solid circle with pale tomato ink and then die cutting the heart out of it. The sentiments are from Mama Elephant’s Many Thanks stamp set (which I am obsessed with!) and I used a button to pop the “A Million Thanks” sentiment at the top.

For this card I tried a new technique to create a bit of a chipboard look with my sentiment. I die cut 4-5 individual “thank” words out of cardstock and glued them together with wet glue to create a thick, stand out piece. This was a cool technique I saw a couple different places and wanted to try it out. The “you” in the heart is from a piece of Studio Calico pattern paper that I cut out and topped with glossy accents to create an embellishment. I popped the heart up to match the dimension of the “thank.”

Be sure to check out Studio Calico’s latest card kit, Office Hours which is for sale now. I will have more on that one soon. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Stephanie 🙂

March is Thank You Month! :)

Hi all! Can you believe it is March already?? 2014 is really speeding by! March is my birthday month and my friends and family always make me feel so special. Their love is a constant reminder of how blessed and how thankful I am to have them in my life, so each Tuesday this month I will be sharing thank you cards with you. You can never have too many thank you cards, right?! 🙂

So let’s get to it! >>

For this card I made a little heart shaped window that I popped up with dimensional adhesive. I added a couple other hearts in the center and used the “thanks” arrow sentiment to shoot through them. I stamped “from the bottom of my heart” at the bottom and added some fun gold thread with a mini clothespin (found a pack of these in the dollar section at Target – whoop! whoop!) to add a little extra shine.

This second one has a very CAS (clean and simple) feel. I stamped the sentiment with a smokey gray ink and colored in the center with some pencils. I backed the rectangle up with a blue toned pattern paper and adhered it to the card base with dimensional adhesive. Finished the card off with some sequins from Studio Calico and left this card very simple. 🙂

So there you have a couple thank you’s, both with very different feels. The stamp set I used for sentiments in both cards is Many Thanks by Mama Elephant (linked below) and I am obsessed!! There are so many options with this stamp set. I have a feeling you will be seeing a lot of it this month. 😉 Until next time!!
