What genius idea… am I right?! Lizzie is at it again with her brilliant gift card dies and today’s has taken the cake!

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink Shape Up Tuxedo Dapper Chap

This quite clever set of dies gives you so many options to put together a gorgeous suit for the man in your life and you can even slip a gift card inside! I chose to put this outfit on the front of a card for my project today but I am a little obsessed with this set.

Don’t be scared off if it looks complicated!! Lizzie put together a wonderful video that you can use to follow along when you put this guy together for the first time (because it’s honestly simpler than it looks and you probably won’t need to watch the video more than once). And of course the Dapper Chap stamp and die set coordinate perfectly. I’m loving the “nicely done, sir” sentiment. πŸ™‚

For the latest Corner Adorner set we have a more artsy design for you this month. Create artisticly impressive card designs in a snap! I chose to go with a super watercolor and carefree feel with mine and used the negatives from the Shape Shifters Square die to add just a bit of unexpected fun to the bottom.

This card design will undoubtedly not be everyone’s cup of tea but it may be one of my favorites from this release haha. (Check out artist Lourdes Sanchez if you’re a fan of abstract watercolor art)

Botanical Bounty + Bold Borders Flare

Today I have a card for you showing off the newest set from Jennifer Campbell, Botanical Bounty, as well as the latest in the Bold Borders series from Lizzie Jones, Flare.

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink botanical bounty sentiment staples congratulations bold borders flare

I combined a couple of the strips from the bold borders to create one solid block to use as a design accent. I LOVE how it turned out… don’t you just love when your ideas translate?? Almost never happens… haha

The flower is created using one of my favorite techniques, inking up your stamp and spritzing with water before impressing. For this flower I combined New Leaf, Green Parakeet, Summer Sunrise, and Lemon Tart. The sentiment is from Lizzie’s Sentiment Staples Congratulations set. πŸ™‚

My first project is showcasing Betsy Veldman’s new sets… Geode Layer Dies and Text and Texture Agate stamps. This particular card was so fun to put together because my sweet daughter LOVES collecting “special” rocks. We can’t take this girl anywhere without her finding something cool on the ground and her begging to take it home to wash it. She’s just the cutest.

My color inspiration came from this image I found on Pinterest…

I used little bits from the Shaker and Sprinkles kit to create the crystals in the center. πŸ™‚

My next project is showing off the latest from Lizzie Jones… her monthly Glorious Globes April as well as Sentiment Staples Congratulations.

I took this set in a bit of a different direction this time by turning one of the circles into a floral focal point. It’s accents are created with Circle Scribbles dies and Doodlie Do coordinating dies.

That’s it for me today! I will see you all back here again tomorrow. Much love.

Lucky Scratch

Welcome to Day 3 of Papertrey Ink’s Release Week Countdown! We have some really great things in store for you so make sure you stop by the Papertrey Team Blog to see it all! πŸ˜‰

Today we are introducing one of the most unique sets of dies and stamps designed by the lovely Lizzie Jones… Lucky Scratch.

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink lucky scratch

This gigantic die cuts in the shape of a ticket and comes with at least 4 different stamp sets to coordinate along with it that cover soooo many occasions… St. Patrick’s Day, birthdays, weddings, babies, date nights and gifts for any occasion, etc. You need it? Lucky Scratch has it! So Lizzie designed this awesome set to be used alongside some scratch off paper (which you will be able to find in the PTI store) but I also wanted to show you how you can use these sets without the scratch paper as well.

My first project shows how to create an interactive card using a flip up to show a hidden message underneath… no scratch paper needed. And it still has the standard card base underneath for an added sentiment and message.

And my second project shows a way to hide a message right on the front by adding an extra ticket you can unwrap with a bow.

This card utilized the Big Ticket dies to create the smaller ticket in the center and I stamped right on top of the felt for more texture.

Brushed Birds + Year of Psalms: January + Warm Regards + WTS + KIS

It’s Day 2 of Papertrey Ink’s Release Week Countdown! We have some really great things in store for you so make sure you stop by the Papertrey Team Blog to see it all! πŸ˜‰

Today we are introducing Betsy Veldman’s latest masterpiece, Brushed Birds along with January’s Year of Psalms.

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink year of psalms brushed birds

This is definitely one of the most well known and popular scripture verses and rightfully so. It’s so beautiful and incites an incredible amount of empowerment and hope. On this card I paired it with two of the sweet brushed birds in an array of blue-greens and purples with the sentiment standing out in a nice True Black.

Next we are introducing Lizzie Jones’ Warm Regards along with the latest in the Keep it Simple & Ways to Say series.

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink Warm Regards keep it simple ways to say

The dogwood flowers are unique and have a simple elegance that anyone can love. They pair really beautifully with the missing you and sorry sentiments from the latter two sets.
