Seasonal Borders + Shape Shifters + Words to Live By + Text & Texture

It’s day 3 of Papertrey Ink’s August release and today we have some lovely Autumn themed products for you. πŸ™‚

Starting off I have a card featuring predominantly fall themed products, but I wanted to show you a way to use them a little bit different so you don’t feel like you only can use them one season per year!

I went with a monochromatic color scheme using greys and blacks for my leaves on the card base. The shape shifters is so beautiful, but I wanted to show it off in a way that doesn’t create a focal point so I left it all white and accented my sentiment with a big pop of color. And of course… a little twine to finish it off… you know me. πŸ˜‰

The next Text and Texture from Betsy Veldman is, Leaves! She did such a beautiful job designing a background stamp that almost creates a rubbing feel. I used a couple different greens on my background and kept the front of my card nice and simple.

Thanks for stopping by! Much love all.

I created a relaxed natural look by stamping the leaves in a green ombre and off setting a lot of their accent stamps. The little dots are from the Love Notes set.

For my second project I created a monotone card with greys and distressed the ink a bit for another relaxed/aged look. I loved how if you use certain combinations of these stamps they can also look like feathers. πŸ™‚

I used a rock n’ roll technique with multiple ink colors to create the fall leaf-changing-color effect. Different ink brands blended differently and I actually like the diversity in how it turned out! Made it interesting!!

I KNEW I wanted to use this good ole Leaf Cover Up Die when I saw these gorgeous Pumpkin Stamps. The coordinating Pumpkin/Grateful Dies are so perfect and make the whole project just that much better.

Bunches of Birthday Cheer

Well hey there folks! How has your summer been going so far?? It’s been PRETTYYYYYYY hot here lately so I am glad to be hiding out in the craft room and setting it up from our move. Today I have a one layer leafy green birthday card for you using Lil Inker goodies from the last release.

I masked off a little portion to fit my stamped sentiment and then placed all of my stamped leaves around the edge to create a definitive border.

Celebrate Card Set

celebrate card set - goldensimplicity.com

Hey friends! Taking a little break from the December Daily posts today. I have been putting together card sets quite often recently and it has been a lot of fun making multiple cards that are all different but very similar. Today I used Papertrey Ink’s wet paint stamp set, polka dots stamp set, Hero Arts black ink (my favorite), and some floral ephemera from Maggie Holmes Open Book Collection. These PTI/MH combos are endless!! Love them sooooooo much!

I made four cards total and tried to place in some glitter or foil in each of them. A subtle detail that is much easier to see in person is the cursive “happy” I stamped behind the polka dots. I believe this stamp is from PTI’s Embellished Elegance stamp set. It’s stamped in soft stone & the polka dots are stamped in Versamark Smokey Grey.
