Welcome to this week’s edition of Throwback Thursday with Papertrey Ink! Today, Betsy, Melissa Phillips and I are revising the Counting My Blessings stamps and die set.
I used this color scheme as inspiration for my card, coordinating the Papertrey colors: Royal Velvet, Amethyst Allure, Scarlett Jewel, Summer Sunrise and Harvest Gold. Obviously the colors aren’t a complete match but they are similar enough to where the color scheme still works. If you are ever in need of some color inspiration, don’t be shy to search them up on Pinterest!! There are so many out there that are sure to lend some spark for your imagination.
I used the colors on the border from Seasonal Borders: Autumn and coordinated the sentiments above and below (from Counting My Blessings).
I kept my background relatively light by cutting the Stitched Cover Plate from Rustic White card stock and layering it atop Bitty Big: Kraft. All together I think it turned out just lovely and festive.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I will see you soon with this month’s new release!! 😉

***Edited to correct the name of the stamp set: A Cheerful Heart.
Hello dear web friends!! I don’t share a lot of personal posts but here and there I will give you a little update on my sweet family and the happenings in our lives and mine. Well one thing you may not know about me is that I make cards like the ones I am sharing with you today, and I donate them to our family’s church. I love this so much. It is so much fun to make cards that I can merely donate and that I know will be going towards people I know and love. 🙂 Today I have 2 coordinating cards to show you using Papertrey Ink A Cheerful Heart stamp set as well as Rosie Posie.
I painted little white polka dots that are very subtle in person and give the sentiment strip a bit of added texture.
I love how the colors of the large flower pop off the white background on this one.
A Cheerful Heart is one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets. There are many beautifully laid out verses that truly touch my heart and hopefully the hearts of the recipients. I’m all about spreading the love!! 🙂 Here is another set of cards I made for our church. Have a wonderful day guys!
Hey friends! Last time we celebrated a birthday I struggled with making a mountain of thank you cards (because I don’t like buying them when I can make them myself!!). I wanted to make a simple thank you card that was easy to duplicate so I could easily bang out 20 of them, but still be beautiful and make someone smile. So this is what I came up with! It’s a simple card with a little bit of stamping and a sweet Ali Edwards handwritten script stamp. It was basic enough to be able to make a lot of them quickly, but still be lovely to convey how grateful I am to the recipient.
What do you do when you have a lot of thank you’s to give? Do you make them yourself or buy a set from a store?
Thank you for stopping by! Have a great week!
