Hey friends! Welcome to another fun edition to Papertrey Ink’s Transformation Tuesday series! Today I am sharing a card I made from the most recent Papertrey release and how I changed it up and transformed it into something new!
The card on the right is my original card. The Pinefeather cardstock background is so beautiful, but I tend to lean more towards lighter colors, so I decided to go back in for a redo!
Since I liked my original layout and design, I kept it the same for the most part. I switched up the outside frame and made it a different color from my inside panel and I decided to make my orchid colors pop more.
I also went with more matching colors for the background repeated sentiment and the die cut focal sentiment, as opposed to the quite different, black and chartreuse, in the original. Anyone else still fawning over the new Weathervane grey??? I’m obsessed. It goes with everything. 🙂
By using a white panel in the background instead of a matching Spring Moss panel, the repeated sentiment pops more and creates added texture and interest behind the focal point. This draws the eye in and that orchid locks it down! 😉
Thank you so much for stopping by! For my last Transformation Tuesday, see here.
Is there a card in your stash you think could benefit from a little transformation?? Don’t wait until next Tuesday, give it a shot now and be sure to enter the contest on the Papertrey Blog for a chance to win a gift certificate to the store. 🙂
That’s it for me today! I can’t wait to see your newest creations! Much love all.
