Hey guys! Can you believe it’s August already?! This year is FLYING by!! Today I have a Bullet Journal layout for you using the brand new set, Travelers Journal: Bullets, by Heather Nichols.

I have always wanted to try bullet journaling but the perfectionist in me was too afraid to try. I mean have you seen the layouts on Pinterest?? They are PERFECT. So when I saw the new stamp set, I was SO HAPPY!!! It was the perfect way to make a journal like this work, even for someone who has shaky hands like me. πŸ™‚

For my first layout “bullet style” πŸ˜‰ I wanted to create a little checklist for beating some bad habits. I am a chronic, up all nighter (and not because I have insomnia), I am always anxiously picking at my nails, and leaving clean folded laundry in bins instead of putting it away… don’t judge me!!!

For my first week I set my expectations by creating a “notes” section with everything all laid out. I think my favorite thing about this stamp set is the faux highlighter stripe… it’s so fun!!!

The last thing I did was add a little motivational quote to keep me going. I love how easy it is to lay things out. It ends up looking so professional.

Eeek! I am so thrilled to be here today with my very first new release Papertrey Ink Feature!! Today I am showcasing 2 brand new stamp sets, Courage and Kindness, and Ways to Say: Thank You, both designed by Heather Nichols.

This first card really shows off the big beautiful script font in some of the sentiments from the Courage and Kindness set. I used the gorgeous florals to accent the message by layering them behind the frame and chose a fun blue/green color combination.

BE STRONG & HAVE COURAGE

PAPER: Stampers Select White, Simply Chartreuse
INK: Enchanted Evening, Tropical Teal, Ripe Avocado, Black
STAMPS: Courage and Kindness
DIES: Courage and Kindness
OTHER: Gold clip, Natural Twine, Glossy Accents

//

I really wanted to show off the versatility of the florals in this set so I decided to use a greyscale bouquet in the forefront of my next card, accenting with vibrant pops of color in the background. To make the card even more unique, I used a dark Smokey Shadow cardstock base to show off the color even more.

IF YOU CAN BE ANYTHING, BE KIND

PAPER: Stampers Select White, Smokey Shadow, Limeade Ice, Raspberry Fizz
INK: Black, Smokey Shadow, Limeade Ice, Berry Sorbet

And finally, I created a window with one of the dies and chose a repeated stamping technique to even more stress how much you can do with just two simple sets. I put together a folded tag card used as a hostess gift – which the Ways to Say: Thank You set is especially perfect for.

Well it’s finally here. We are celebrating 10 years of the wonderful Papertrey Ink and Nichole and the rest of the team are really knocking it out of the park, wouldn’t you say?! I am very blessed to be here today alongside the uber talented Heather Nichols to showcase some of her incredible Travelers Journal products (including some new ones!) as a Team Contributor for this series. If you haven’t read Heather’s guest post on Nichole’s blog yet, click HERE and make sure you give it a read – you won’t be sorry. πŸ™‚

For those of you who aren’t quite familiar with me, I will give you a bit of background. πŸ™‚ My name is Stephanie Gold (everyone calls me Steph) and I am a proud wife to Bryan and mama to Abbey (6) and Jack (4). We live in Arizona and live a relatively simple life… spending time together, volunteering at our beloved church, and hanging out with cherished friends. We are all a bit goofy, silly, and at times crazy haha – we love laughing with each other and making the best of our chaotic lives! I began paper crafting in 2013 after I was given a card kit and I quickly and happily fell down the crafty rabbit hole. I spent the next few years taking classes, practicing and doing my best to improve because I was super in love with card making. I strongly believe it’s great for the soul and mind, and it makes me a happier human being. πŸ™‚

I hope to get to know you all more and more as this year progresses, over our combined love for Papertrey, card making, and all things paper craft. <3 So let’s dive into my project for today!!

Now I don’t travel as much as the everyday Travelers Journal user but I do use Travelers Journals OFTEN. I love them. Love love them. There is something about their small frames that works really well for me. I also am a strong believer that you DON’T have to use them just for documenting travel!! So today I am going to show you this little book I made with the Papertrey Travelers Journal products to document my baby girl’s big moments as of recently.

by Stephanie Gold for papertrey Ink travelers journal

This first page is all about the day she lost her first tooth. I have a little note of journaling all about it inside that little envelope and the date is stamped out using the brand new Travelers Journal: Dates stamp set (I’m in love!!).

Awwwwwwww look at that little toothless face! I can’t get enough… πŸ™‚ One of the great things about these specific sets is the fact that you are in charge of creating your own cover. You can make it however you want! Whether you want to make a mini-album for a family trip that’s coming up, or if you are thinking of making a memory album for a Mother’s Day gift, etc… you get to completely customize your Journal to suit exactly what your needs are.

by Stephanie Gold for papertrey Ink travelers journal

For this second page I wanted to document the day she got her ears pierced (sniffle, sniffle… such a big girl!!!). I used the smaller dot from the Dates set to create that pink polka dot frame and put my journaling on a tag and slipped it into the vellum baggy.

So what do you all think so far?? Have you ever used a Travelers Journal for other types of documenting? Or are you a purest “travel-only” Travelers Journal user? There’s no wrong way to use these and I can’t wait to see what you all make with the wonderful products that Heather is dreaming up for you! πŸ˜‰ Thank you all so very much for stopping by my blog! Feel free to leave a note, ask a question, etc. below! Have a wonderful day and see you soon! πŸ˜‰
