Today is all about the Glorious Globes and I have three fun cards to show you today! Let’s dive in with the first card which started out as a masculine card and ended up being uber feminine!
Once I cut out the Scallop Stacker dies in Weathervane and Smokey Shadow I immediately switched my focus from creating a men’s card to more of a pink Valentine’s card. I LOVE how it turned out. The flowers in this card are from the SAF Community Garden set and I thought they accented the adorable love globe perfectly.
A little Raspberry Fizz Bitty Big and twine finish off this cute little number and may have sent it into my January 2019 release Hall of Fame… we all pick favorite cards we make from time to time… right?!
My next card is a fun green and textured project.
I used a Spring Moss Bitty Big behind a white Shape Shifters die as the backdrop for this card, giving it immediate texture.
The globe takes front and center this time atop books from the original Globes set. I adore the map image on this globe. So traditional and precise.
Twine is the perfect finish for this card, giving it a down to earth taste.
And finally I can’t go a release without an all white card! (You know me.) For this one I overlayed the new Bold Borders in white on white and accented it with black paint drops.
I kept the love globe simple and used the “you” from the Bold Borders to finish off the sentiment so it reads “love you.”
Thank you so very much for perusing my blog today. I think you will all be super excited to see what’s being released tomorrow 😉 Much love fam!
Welcome back to Day 2 of Papertrey Ink’s August new release! My first project showcases one of the lovely new sets by Rebecca Luminarias, You Made My Day, along with the August edition of Lizzie Jones’ Glorious Globes series.
I repeat stamped the large “Grateful” sentiment in the background to add extra texture and used the adorable globe to be the focal point, as well as add to my background sentiment.
The Scallop Stacker small die cut sits atop a Simply Chartreuse card base and a rustic twine wrapped around the new Shape Shifters adds a bit of whimsy.
My second project today is a light and airy card that accents the beautiful dies from the new Say It Simply: Wishing You A Lovely Birthday, by Dawn McVey. The background was created using Text & Texture: Roses, and I strung some twine through the holes in the Scallop Stackers for a little fun.
Thanks so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow 😉
Welcome to another release day at Papertrey Ink! We have some super fun new products to share with you today from Dawn McVey and Lizzie Jones.
Kicking things off is the card I made using July’s Glorious Globes set. One of the things I have really loved about Lizzie’s Globes series is all the nature she incorporates into many of the globes. From flowers to leaves, they always make me happy to look at and play with.
This month’s may be one of my favorite sets so far and I had a ton of fun creating this card that didn’t even use them in the intended globe format.
For my next project I really took the Ombre idea to heart. I used three different ink colors and blended them together on my stamp before pressing to the paper. The repeat stamping made for a fun background/sentiment and I used the Pierced Feature Frames dies in Melon Berry to bring in more color from the sentiments.
That’s it for me today! I’ll see you back here tomorrow 😉

On to the projects!
My first project showcases the new Shape Shifters: Circle 1 die set from Betsy Veldman and the new Glorious Globes: Basics + Glorious Globes: February sets from Lizzie Jones.
I paired these two with some Bitty Big: Soft Stone and chose a small and subtle sentiment for the top left and bottom right corners. I just adore the flower focus on the GG:Feb set.
Next is all about Lilies of the Field and Words to Live By: Kindness… both by Betsy Veldman. I went with a light and airy color palette for this card, letting the flowers really take the spotlight of my card. I’m SOOOO glad Bets included this sentiment in her WTLB set… I love anything that talks about being humble and working hard. 🙂
That’s it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
