Oh my goodness all. I am THRILLED to be able to participate in this incredible blog hop. My Sweet Petunia was exceptionally generous with us Unity ladies and we hope we can show off the MISTI and Unity products to their best abilities!!
Also, don’t forget to leave a comment on all the blogs in the hop!! This will enter you into a drawing for 3 prize packs from Unity and winner’s choice of an Original or Mini MISTI. More details below. Let’s get to my project!
I created this card using the 2 step flower stamp from Unity called You Are This. I adore the sentiment in this kit as well but I went with a sympathy sentiment from another kit for this particular card.
To create the flower I began by using my Mini MISTI and stamping the 2 step flower petals and leaves. I chose different inks for each stamp (for a total of 4 inks) to really accentuate the extra details.
The added detail in the 2nd step of the flower is so beautiful and distressed that it gives the perfect amount of imperfection for your design. Angie Blom did an incredible job designing this image.
Hello and happy Wednesday! I’m bringing back some older Studio Calico card kits for today’s card, specifically the Poet Society kits from a few months ago. I used white Mister Huey’s to paint a subtle white finish on these wood veneer rectangles and while they dried, I stamped some light polka dots across my card base. I adhered a Delicate Details die cut from Papertrey Ink and then adhered the wood veneer rectangles on top. I stamped and die cut the flower and leaves with Papertrey Ink’s Beautiful Brushstrokes kit on top of the SC pattern papers. And finally I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of gray paper and adhered it on the rectangles.
Have a wonderful rest of your week! Happy crafting!
Hi there! I have a couple more cards to show you today using Papertrey Ink’s Beautiful Brushstrokes kit (I’m a little obsessed). The first card (above) I tried to make as flat as I could so it would be an easy
mailer. The black polka dot background is one of the pattern papers from
the kit and the flower and hello sentiment was stamped using the
included stamp sets (yes, multiple stamp sets… seriously love this
For the second card I made (below), I stamped the leaves onto a piece of canvas paper and attached it to my card base. I put a few pieces of the polka washi tape in the center and adhered the stamped sentiment on top using dimensional adhesive.
I tried to keep each of these cards pretty simple and I liked how they turned out!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend and Happy Valentine’s Day!
