Happy Monday! I tried a different color combination than I am used to for this card… blues and blacks and greys… eek! What do you think? The lacey die cut in the background is from the Delicate Details die set from Papertrey Ink which I adore. The fun striped pattern paper is from a Studio Calico card kit. I just cut out a Project Life sized card and rounded the edges. I also used the dies from the SC kit to make the arrows and feathers. The sentiment badge is so bold and shiny it sort of steals the show and I love it! This was a fun one to put together (but aren’t they all??)!

Hello everyone! Today I have a few cards for you made from Studio Calico’s February card kit, Sugar Rush. With the exception of a couple embellishments and tools, each card you see was made entirely from the kit shown above. I used one of the stamps from this awesome stamp set (below) for one of my glitter tape cards from last week as well, which you can check out here. Let’s get started! Here’s a closer view of the stamp set:

I fell in love with the “Hi! hello how are you?” stamp and used it in two of my cards for today. Here is the first one:

How adorable is that feather pattern paper?? I just had to make some paper feathers to go along with it which were actually free cuts of the week from Silhouette! I adore the wood veneer embellishments that came with the kit this month. I will definitely be using up that stash soon.
So this card was relatively simple: Trimmed piece of pattern paper adhered directly on the card base; stamped the sentiment in the corner of trimmed white cardstock (whoops! this cardstock is from Papertrey Ink & it’s amazing! but not part of the kit…) and attached it with dimensional adhesive onto the pattern paper; die cut the feathers and tied them together with a small piece of light blue twine and the wood veneer hexagon; adhered them to the card!

For this card I used another sentiment stamp, but I created a pattern out of it instead. I trimmed the paper, rounded the edges and adhered it to the card base with dimensional adhesive. I die cut the circle with my Big Shot and adhered directly onto the card. The hearts were cut with my Silhouette and adhered in their middles so I could flare up the edges a bit. I finished it off with a white heart embellishment.

Now for my last card, I did something a little different with one of the pattern papers. This is the paper I started out with:

I decided to slice the stripes apart from each other and create a weave design, which I adhered onto a piece of trimmed white cardstock.

I trimmed and adhered a piece of pink pattern paper as a thick stripe and tied some light blue twine in a bow. I attached the stamped sentiment on top to the left and slid a heart stick pin through the bow (this stick pin is from a previous SC card kit). I used dimensional adhesive to attach the whole thing to the card base and I’m done!

These cards were only the beginning! There were SO many supplies left and an infinite amount of ideas left to be created! Be sure to check Studio Calico’s upcoming kits and see if inspiration strikes. 🙂

Until next week!

Stephanie
