Hey friends! Welcome to one of the new weekly features with Papertrey Ink: Throwback Thursdays! Today, Melissa, Keeway and I are revisiting the Doodlie-do stamp and die set and showing you new, fresh ideas on how to use it. I hope you find some inspiration along the way!
I started out by stamping the 5 petalled flower onto watercolor paper in 5 different ink colors. Then I used a wet paintbrush and a bit of additional ink to color in the entire flower. Once they were dry I stamped on top of them with black ink and die cut them with the coordinating dies.
I die cut the leaves from vellum and adhered all the flowers and vellum along the bottom and right edges. I finished the card off with a little bit of black paint splatter! I loved how vibrant the colors turned out against the white and black. This was such a fun stamp set to use… it really made me feel like summer is coming!! Now for some warm weather… 😉
INK: Black, Raspberry Fizz, Orange Zest, Harvest Gold, New Leaf, Tropical Teal
PAPER: White, Watercolor, Vellum
DIES: Doodlie-do Coordinating Dies
Be sure to head over to Nichole’s blog to see what fun she has cooked up for today! 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by and I look forward to seeing you again soon! Much love all!
