Welcome to ambassador week at Papertrey Ink! Today is the Travelers Journal focus and we are all about adding Monthly Moments products into our journals!

My scheme for this album is kraft, black, and red, with hints of white. I used paint splatter to keep the vibe a little artsy without going too overboard for the look I wanted.

These gorgeous die cuts are from the new Travelers Journal: December sets and they are a MUST HAVE for december documenters!

The Moments Inked: Day by Day Lists stamp set also helped me create a relaxed album guide.

The giant Journal Card 6 die is from the Monthly Moments Collection. For those of you who haven’t looked into the MM collections yet, do yourself a favor and take a peek because they are the perfect complement to the Travelers Journals!! For this layout, I die cut it from kraft cardstock and stamped the “believe in magic” sentiment repeatedly to create a line at the bottom. I finished it off with an oversized white protection ring and black and white twine.

My next layout features the Monthly Moments Instant Photo 1 die. Now I use this die for everything but it’s never been more useful than when creating an album. The small size of the die cuts is perfect for these Travelers Journals and give you just enough space to journal at the bottom and add a decent size photo in the frame. A little wrap of twine on one side and it’s done! ๐Ÿ™‚

Alright this is going to be a long one! Please bear with me and let’s finish off this December Daily 2014 album! ๐Ÿ™‚ Above is Day 19 which was an all day travel day across the country. I saved our plane tickets in my memory bag to use for the album.

Day 20 was all about picking out and chopping down our Christmas tree. I saved the tree lot map and used it as “pattern paper.” ๐Ÿ™‚

Day 21’s number card I used to write the journaling on the back so the page could be nothing but photos.

Day 22 is filled with photos, journaling, and tickets to the Polar Express that I saved.

The following page is more from Day 22 with birthday cards and photos.

Day 23 is another one of my favorite pages. Simple colors and design… I’m hoping I will get the hang of the memory keeping soon and hopefully get my entire album to reflect my style! Haha… still working on that aspect.

For Day 24 (Christmas Eve) I had a mountain of photos and memories. I don’t hold back on these days. I just pack my album with all the memories.

Above you see the pockets holding each of my children’s letters to Santa. My daughter wrote her brother’s for him since he is only 2. ๐Ÿ™‚

My daughter is only 4 so she got straight to the point. Haha.

The 25th is what I like to call “the big finale.” I like to make it stand out.

4 Tips & Tricks

Good morning!! Ready for more December Daily 2014?!! Whoop whoop!

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

Day 12 has the back of the 2 gold chipboard letters. I painted the back of them white to look a little neater. I also added the invitation from a Christmas party we attended.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

I kept Day 13 sweet and simple. This is actually one of my favorites. ๐Ÿ™‚

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

Dayย  14 was a special day! I printed out a 6×8 cardstock of the line my daughter had in her Christmas play. Those words were so meaningful and I heard her say them so many times while she practiced for this moment.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

For Day 15 I saved birthday cards, tags, and even a little piece of wrapping paper to use for this album.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

The top of this part has a vellum overlay that I wrote “singing happy birthday” on, but it’s accordion folded and is held together at the top with a mini clothespin.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

Here it is unfolded. The photos aren’t quite as dark in person. This was a fun and easy way to add all three of those cute photos without taking up a bunch of space in the album.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

For Day 16 I screenshot my phone on the videos we recorded and inserted a card my daughter made at school.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

On the back I added a photo and Day 17 on the next page.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

Day 18 was simple as well and I three hole punched the school’s pamphlet and added it to the album as well.

Well there is your next chunk! What do you think? How are your albums coming along so far this year?

Hello friends! I have more from my December Daily 2014 album today. ๐Ÿ™‚

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

On the back of Day 6 (transparency with photo in the middle) I put some white feathers tied with a silver ribbon. For Day 7 I have a pocket with a few translucent shapes, photo, number card, and my journaling.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

For Day 8 you have the back side of the pocket with translucent shapes, a little photo with mini journaling, number card, and this beautiful gray polka dot tree. I also hole punched and added the pamphlet from the evening event we went to.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

After flipping the pamphlet, I made a little photo collage from the same evening, brought together by a little gold glitter star sticker in the center.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

For Day 9 I added a little glitter chevron pocket from a Studio Calico kit with my journaling inside. The opposite page has the photos from this day.

Day 10 was a special day for me. I remember writing these words on my notecard to save and document later on. It was such a special moment to me that I decided to use the actual card I wrote in that moment… I sliced it up so it would fit in the 4×3 pocket but those feelings come back every time I see and read this card. ๐Ÿ™‚

For Day 11 I have (on the right side) 2 letters for each of my children’s names, journaling, and a number card. For the photos, I decided to make a little 1, 2, 3 picture “flip book” to show the progression of the photos. They were just so cute!! I adhered it on the outside of the pocket for easy flipping.

Happy December Documenting everyone!!

Xo, Stephanie

Happy Friday everyone! I have a few more pages from my December Daily 2014 for you today.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

Above is Day 3. I embossed the “noel” over and over to create a little background and I painted all of the wooden veneer numbers gold for the whole album.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

Day 4 is on the left (above). My sweet boy was crying because the cookies in the oven were taking too long to bake. Tiny human problems… ๐Ÿ˜‰ On the right (above) is the number card for Day 5.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

When you flip it over it has my journaling and the arrow pointing to the corresponding photo (on the left).

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

For Day 6 I used a 6×8 piece of vellum and adhered the number card in the middle. I love how you can see the picture showing through behind it.

December Daily 2014 - GoldenSimplicity.com

When you flip it over I have my journaling on the back of the number card. On the opposite page I adhered the corresponding photo onto a 6×8 piece of clear transparent paper. I thought these were fun, unexpected pages for the album. ๐Ÿ™‚
