Hey friends! Welcome to another fantasticcccc edition of Papertrey Ink’s Throwback Thursdays where we showcase previously released stamps and dies that definitely deserve some more recent love. I sound like a TV presenter… moving on! πŸ˜‰

Today is all about the Tipped Top Die Collection and I swear it is more in style than ever!!

So technically Fall is on it’s way here, but I am in Arizona and it’s still FULL BLOWN Summer here (I’m currently melting). So I decided to keep up with the happy summer color themes and schemes today! πŸ™‚

The largest Tipped Top die is cut from Lemon Tart Cardstock and the “happy” was cut right through it. I stamped the “birthday” to add a bit of black and finish off the sentiment. And of course I can never resist the florals. πŸ™‚ The card is finished off with a wrap of Black and White Twine. It just all makes me happy!

Hi there! It’s STILL Papertrey release time (I have such a great time with these extended release periods!!) and today I have THREE projects for you using Initial Sentiments: Birthday, Ways to Say: Birthday, and Kay’s Critters: Cuddly Cat.

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink Initial Sentiments Birthday

For my first card I decided to attempt a fun cutout around the giant “HB” sentiment for a unique design. I lined the interior with Limeade Ice cardstock for a color pop and used the circular images to add to the sentiment.

My second card is one of my favorites from this release. I used the “birthday” die from the “happy birthday” die set to create a sentiment window but left it open to show the Hibiscus Burst cardstock show from underneath. The floral Gran’s Garden accents are the perfect focal point to counter the sentiment on top.

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink Kays Critters Cuddly Cats

For Kay’s Critters dies I found myself increasingly obsessed with my kitty, Gypsy. So much so that I decided to create her a little toy to go along with the gift tag I made. Unfortunately the polka dots that are stamped on the tag in Soft Stone are too subtle for most of my images, but they add the perfect amount of faux texture to my simple kitty tag. I have quite a few friends who have kitties and I love buying them little treats and toys so I will definitely be making more of these. πŸ™‚

I made the toy so it separates from the tag easily and can be played with right away! πŸ™‚ I tested this one out with Gypsy and she’s a big fan. She also loves it when you dangle it from a stick hehe

Oh my goodness, you guys!! I have been keeping this secret for so long and it has been SO HARD!!! I am SO very proud to announce that I am a new member of the Lil Inker Design Team!!!! (shrieking girly squeals of joy… don’t mind me…)

Stephanie Gold Golden Simplicity Lil Inker Designs

You should have arrived here from the super talented and lovely Chrissy Larson’s blog! I have been working all month getting new release projects ready for this hop (and I may have gotten a bit carried away) and I am so happy to share a few of them with you today!!

by Stephanie Gold - Golden Simplicity - Lil Inker Vintage flower stamps and dies and sentiments - Lil Inker Design Team

I thought I’d start out the hop using the Vintage Flower Stamps and Coordinating Dies! These flowers have so much detail, they are absolutely gorgeous! I used a teal ink to stamp the flowers and then wet a paint brush to blend the color in a bit. I used the same technique on the leaves with a green ink. The “happy birthday” sentiment is from the Vintage Label Sentiment Stamps and I made the background with Lil Inker’s Dotted Scallop Cover Up Die which is from a previous release.

I used the same techniques for this second card and finished it off with the Diamond Lace Cover Up Die (also from a previous release).

Aren’t those flower stamps beautiful?? For my last project today I made a little pillow box (I LOVE to use these as gift card holders because you can dress them up and make them so dang cute!!) and fancied it up for a nice gift for Mother’s Day or the like. I used the same Vintage Flower Stamp and Die sets and also the Vintage Label Sentiments and coordinating Die. I love this Label Sentiment set. You could use that baby on cards, on gifts as a gift tag, for scrapbooking, it is SO versatile.
