Hello my friends! Today is Throwback Thursday with Papertrey Ink and I can’t wait to share this week’s stamp set with you… Mini Blooms!!!

This quickly became one of my favorite sets. It was originally designed by the great Maile Belles and has her innovation and charm all over it. This set is deceptively large and gives you so many options for creating fun floral arrangements with a trendy/fresh vibe.

I paired my florals today with a background created with the Bitty Big: Soft Stone and Mix & Mat: Plaid and created a little twine wrap along two of the sides for some added whimsy.

My first project is an envelope made from striped vellum with a gatefold card made from the Mix & Mat die inside.

My second project shows a more dramatic approach with color.

The sentiment and accents are embossed on a dark background for maximum effect.

And my last project shows a light an airy card for the clean and simples out there. πŸ˜‰

I used the center of the Mix & Mat die to create a stencil out of thick cardstock and then used texture paste to add a bit of a snow effect.

Today we are introducing Birthday Balloons and Birthday Strings.

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink Birthday Balloons Birthday Strings

The base of my card is made by stamping Birthday Strings sentiments repeatedly in different colors. I stamped over top of them in grey with some dots from Polka Dot Basics (these never go out of style). The focal point is the balloon which I stamped in black and embossed the mini “wish big” sentiment in white. I was trying to get a more masculine friendly design for this one.

The string is made of natural twine that is adhered in place. πŸ™‚

Today we are introducing one of the most unique sets of dies and stamps designed by the lovely Lizzie Jones… Lucky Scratch.

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink lucky scratch

This gigantic die cuts in the shape of a ticket and comes with at least 4 different stamp sets to coordinate along with it that cover soooo many occasions… St. Patrick’s Day, birthdays, weddings, babies, date nights and gifts for any occasion, etc. You need it? Lucky Scratch has it! So Lizzie designed this awesome set to be used alongside some scratch off paper (which you will be able to find in the PTI store) but I also wanted to show you how you can use these sets without the scratch paper as well.

My first project shows how to create an interactive card using a flip up to show a hidden message underneath… no scratch paper needed. And it still has the standard card base underneath for an added sentiment and message.

And my second project shows a way to hide a message right on the front by adding an extra ticket you can unwrap with a bow.

This card utilized the Big Ticket dies to create the smaller ticket in the center and I stamped right on top of the felt for more texture.

Today we are introducing Betsy Veldman’s latest masterpiece, Brushed Birds along with January’s Year of Psalms.

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink year of psalms brushed birds

This is definitely one of the most well known and popular scripture verses and rightfully so. It’s so beautiful and incites an incredible amount of empowerment and hope. On this card I paired it with two of the sweet brushed birds in an array of blue-greens and purples with the sentiment standing out in a nice True Black.

Next we are introducing Lizzie Jones’ Warm Regards along with the latest in the Keep it Simple & Ways to Say series.

The dogwood flowers are unique and have a simple elegance that anyone can love. They pair really beautifully with the missing you and sorry sentiments from the latter two sets.
