Papertrey Featured Post: Little Lift Me Ups & Background Basics: Birch

by Stephanie Gold for Papertrey Ink

Welcome to this month’s Papertrey Ink release!! We are listening hard to all of your suggestions/opinions and we are switching things back to a version of the “old way” haha. Today I am featuring the brand new sentiment stamp set, Little Lift Me Ups as well as the new background stamp, Background Basics: Birch.

My first project showcases the entire background stamp being used as a backdrop for my card. The sentiment is front and center paneled on layers of cardstock and the focal point in addition to the sentiment is the braided and knotted natural twine.

My second project is this sweet little tag! I used Soft Stone cardstock for the background and Smokey Shadow for the birch stamp. I cut and trimmed True Black and Smokey Shadow cardstock to line the top of the tag and cut up the sentiment for added interest.

The ribbon finishes the tag off – I used Aqua Mist and Smokey Shadow Twill Tape Ribbon.

And my final project adds a bit of flowery fun! I started by embossing the two outer dies from the new Mix & Mat: Plaid collection and taping off the inside. The inside is then stamped with the Birch Background stamp and removed.

I used the sweet bunch of pre-printed flowers from the Bloom & Grow mini kit and wrapped it all up in a bit of rustic twine!

Just beautiful! We need a tutorial on how to make the twine heart weave. It’s cool!

I always love your creativity! Perhaps, you may consider doing a tutorial on the lovely braided heart? You always inspire me, and I appreciate you!
