Good morning internet friends!! I am always excited for the 8th of the month because I get to share some really fun Travelers Journal projects with you! Heather, Andi, Amy, and I all have lots of fun up our sleeves so be sure to start HERE and check it all out. 🙂
Today we are discussing the Page Blank Booklets and I put together a gift to show you one way you can use these inserts all on their own. For starters, I decided to remove the kraft cardstock and leave the cover simply light and white to show you how versatile these booklets truly are.
By leaving off the cover (made with a separate die), I allowed for a smaller book to be made. This adds many options for giving and packaging the gift and even storing it… but I’ll get to more on that in another feature 😉 I am using florals and polka dots throughout my journal with a set color scheme to keep it consistent and cohesive.
I used one photograph per page spread and did zero layering on those specific pages to keep the journal relatively flat. I left my texturing and embellishing to the opposite sides where I could really have fun with the journaling aspect of my project.
By using the actual booklet pages as my base, I am able to keep a light and consistent feel to my interior pages as well. The texture on the Page Blank Booklet papers are so beautiful (I think its linen?) that they can really add so much just on their own. This made for an easy way to add simple stamping and journaling while still giving off a very full, interesting page spread.
This is one of my favorite layouts. 🙂 I incorporated multiple stamp sets that had similar sentiment vibes as well as using some of the Travelers Journal: Adventure stamps on almost every page. I distressed the stamps a bit to add an even more unique look.
Thank you so much for joining me today! If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I hope you all are enjoying this new feature and give it a go! Much love all.
