Hey guys! I am so very blessed and excited to have a special guest blogger here today… the lovely & talented, Flóra Mónika Farkas! Flóra has a beautiful card making and crafting style that is very clean and fun, with a bit of romanticism.
A bit of background about Flóra… She currently lives in Slovenia with her fiance, but she is originally from Hungary. I met Flóra in a Studio Calico class and she was so kind and talented that I instantly began following her crafty adventures. She has been making cards with different techniques since her childhood, but got more serious about it after receiving a Sizzix die cutting machine for Christmas in 2011. She created mini albums for a year following an online class and finally dove into the layout world following a 2 day intensive scrapbook course in 2015. Flóra told me she found herself in scrapbooking and that the many pretty, cute, lovely little scrapbooking things cheer up her everyday life.
This girl is so dang cute you guys. I know you will adore her as much as I do!
Hi, it’s Flóra here. This is my first guest post abroad. 🙂 I am very excited to show you my card.
For the base I used a white cardstock and then a pattern paper from Seven Paper (Studio Calico) Goldie collection. While I was looking at this beautiful blue, it crossed my mind to pair it with gold and pink. I put in the center of the card this typewriter stamp from Dear Lizzy Documentary collection.
I decided to use a heat embossing technique to give extra dimension. I added few paper flowers and vellum leaves which I cut out with a Sizzix die. On the right top corner I made a sewing line but I didn’t like it so covered with a chipboard arrow. (Never be afraid to fix your “mistakes”. 😉 ).
I also used embossing powder to color it. Enamel dots never can miss from my project so I added just a tiny one. In the end a simple card came out. 😉
I hope you like my card. Thanks for the invitation and the great opportunity for lovely Stephanie.
How amazing is this card?! I LOVE the color combo! Flóra, thank you so much for guesting posting on Golden Simplicity! And friends, be sure to check out Flóra’s other gorgeous creations at the links below. 🙂
